What is a Moonlight Fisherman?

So...What is a Moonlight Fisherman? Is this a fishing blog? No.

The Moonlight Fisherman or Pecheurs de Lune was the name, in 1800's France, for the city people who would sift through the city's rubbish, for valuable objects to sell. The Moonlight Fisherman was crafty, ingenious, and an outside the box thinker. Some may use words like cheap to describe them, but I think wise and thrifty fit better. Moonlight Fishers would pick and sell  all different variety of items. It was not a store of one kind, dealing with one item. It was a potpourri of items. These items would be sold in Porte de Clignacourt.  Home to the famous Marché aux Puces. This market has hundreds of stalls were merchants peddle their wares.

What does this have to do with me or this blog? I am a  Moonlight Fisherman. Looking through the thrift shops, bargain stores, drugstores, estate sales, garage sales, craft stores, etc to find a deal. I want to look like a Vogue model on a Goodwill budget. This goes for my clothes, makeup, home, craft projects, and well.. everything. This blog is how I have accomplished this with tips and tricks learned along the way. Some of these will be my own lessons learned, others will be from a wise man I have learned a lot from. (More about him in another post) I want to show what is possible with a little creativity and a lot of money saved.

Just like the Moonlight Fisherman, this blog will be a potpourri of subjects. They sold items from different aspects of life and life never covers just one subject!! Neither will this blog!! Reviews, craft projects, thrifty finds, and many more ideas!!! I am excited to start and record this journey!!
